WESTMARC Committees

The following are standing committees. Occasionally other committees and taskforces are formed as issues arise.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Co-Chairs:

Harry Paxton, City of Goodyear

Russ Ullinger, SRP

This Committee serves as an economic development facilitator for the West Valley.

WATER

Chair:

Robin Stinnett, City of Avondale

This Committee discusses water issues pertaining to the West Valley.

TRANSPORTATION

Co-Chairs:

Joe LaRue, Sun Health

David Moody, City of Peoria

This Committee brings together regional transportation leaders and stakeholders with the intent of developing consensus on long-term transportation policy.

EDUCATION

Co-Chairs:

Herman Orcutt, The Orcutt/Winslow Partnership

Robin Berry, Palo Verde Elementary School District

This Committee discusses and implements ways to promote quality education and life-long learning for all ages with sufficient funding to distinguish the West Valley as a center of educational excellence.

HEALTHCARE

Chair:

Christine Clouse, Midwestern University

This Committee discusses and implements ways to promote health and wellness throughout the West Valley.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Co-Chairs:

Shirley Gunther, City of Avondale

Michael Stull, Cox Communications

This Committee consists of business, education and municipal intergovernmental liaisons that govern WESTMARC's public policy agenda and submit recommendations to the Executive Committee.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Chair:

Art Othon, El Bravo Restaurants

This Committee consists of WESTMARC's elected officers and at-large members of the Board of Directors.
