• The economic impact in proportion to the size of the nominee or to the population the nominee serves 

• Innovative educational programs and opportunities to facilitate high-wage employment 

• The ingenuity of the nominee – unique opportunity 

• The economic benefit created for the West Valley. Please describe number of jobs, programs, capital investment, etc.  

• Any adversity faced by the nominee and solutions employed to achieve success. Describe any hurdles experienced and how they were addressed and overcome.  

2 | WEST VALLEY EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AWARD  

The West Valley Excellence in Education and Workforce Development recognizes individuals, organizations, businesses, facilities, or programs that have enhanced the quality of life for West Valley residents. Potential nominees: 

• Educational programs, institutions, facilities, or leaders who have impacted learning in the West Valley 

• Programs, partnerships that have led to substantial job creation 

• Industry and education partnerships created to address trending business needs 

3 | WEST VALLEY QUALITY OF LIFE ENHANCEMENT AWARD  

The Quality of Life Enhancement Award recognizes individuals, organizations, businesses, facilities, or programs that have enhanced the quality of life for West Valley residents. Potential nominees: 

• Programs, institutions, facilities, or leaders having a significant impact on improving the quality of life for West Valley residents including: Arts and Culture programs, Health and wellbeing,  Sports, Entertainment and Recreation & others!

4 | WEST VALLEY EXCELLENCE IN INNOVATION AWARD  

The Excellence in Innovation Award recognizes individuals, organizations, businesses, facilities, or programs that have demonstrated an innovative concept in supporting modern economic growth. Potential nominees: 

• Programs, institutions, facilities, or leaders such as: 

• Infrastructure advancement  

• Leveraging technology to advance the West Valley’s brand 

• Creative partnerships to advance regional strategies and solutions
