The Economic Development Committee serves as a catalyst for advancing the West Valley’s economic vitality through strategic collaboration, innovation, and informed planning. This committee brings together thought leaders and stakeholders to share tools and insights for attracting and retaining high-quality business investment—highlighting key resources like the Greater Maricopa Foreign Trade Zone and other economic assets unique to the region.
Members play an instrumental role in shaping and supporting initiatives that drive workforce readiness, business growth, and livable communities. The committee also leads the development of WESTMARC’s Annual Economic Development Summit, a signature event spotlighting the region’s momentum and future-forward vision.

- Branding and promotion of strategic economic corridors
- Attraction of high-skill, high-wage industries and R&D investment
- Identification and targeting of priority industry sectors
- Recruitment of headquarters and major operational centers
- Support for balanced, innovative housing development to sustain regional growth
